Our mission
For the families insurance leaves behind.
The Ember House Foundation helps families devastated by house fire, storm, or catastrophe pick up the pieces where insurance drops the ball, misses the mark, or simply isn't enough.
Where it began
Born from fire.
The Ember House Foundation was founded out of our founder's own personal experience with fire. Living through it changed how he saw recovery: not as a claims process, but as a family's fight to hold itself together when everything familiar is gone.
That experience became a conviction. Too many families face the aftermath of catastrophe without the resources, guidance, or support to begin again. The foundation exists so they don't have to face it alone. The full story belongs to our founder to tell, and in time, he will.
The insurance gap
Help shouldn't depend on a policy.
A public adjuster can only help people who have an insurance policy. That single fact draws a hard line through every disaster, and too many families fall on the wrong side of it.
Renters without coverage
Many renters carry no renter's insurance at all. When fire takes their home, it takes everything they own, with nothing to claim against.
Families with too little coverage
A policy on the dwelling doesn't always mean enough coverage. Families discover, after the loss, that their limits won't rebuild the home or replace what was inside it.
Losses insurance barely touches
Storms and catastrophes bring costs no adjuster can bill for: deposits on a new rental, clothes for the kids, a way to get to work on Monday. Recovery is bigger than any claim.
Every request matters. If your family has been devastated by fire, storm, or catastrophe, we are here for you, policy or not. We review every request and respond as our capacity allows.
What guides us
How we show up.
Faith is part of the heart of our founders, and it shapes how we serve: quietly, humbly, and without condition. We don't preach to families in crisis. We show up, we listen, and we help with what's in front of us.
Every service is free. We never charge families for support. Dignity comes first in everything we do, from a grant that keeps the lights on to a camera that treats a family's story with reverence.
