Give

Help the next family start again.

Your gift becomes deposits on temporary housing, clothes for children, and momentum for a family's fresh start, the small, urgent things that decide whether recovery begins on time.

Where your gift goes

Directed at the gap, not the overhead.

Gifts to the foundation support the programs that stand with families after catastrophe: practical help, quickly, with dignity.

I

Family Grants

Modest, direct assistance for the essentials recovery demands: utility deposits, children's clothing, school supplies, transportation support, and relocation essentials.

II

Fundraiser Seeding

Early gifts to community fundraisers for displaced families, giving each campaign momentum and showing the community that this family is worth rallying around.

III

72-Hour Recovery Guide

The free, public field guide for the first three days after a fire, and the community resources that carry it to the families who need it.

Good to know

Giving questions, answered honestly.

  • Is my gift tax-deductible? The Ember House Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and contributions may be tax-deductible. Because tax law depends on your circumstances, please consult your tax advisor. We provide standard gift acknowledgment for your records.
  • How is my gift used? Gifts support the foundation's programs: the Family Grant Program, fundraiser seeding for displaced families, and the 72-Hour Recovery Guide. Our transparency page describes the standard we hold ourselves to as we report on program spending.
  • Can I give another way? Until online giving opens, use the notify-me form above and tell us how you'd like to give. Corporate and community partners can also start at partnerships.
  • Will my gift be recognized? Donors are recognized with their consent, for recognition only. Recognition is never sold, and it never buys influence over whom we serve or how families' stories are told.
